The only slight downside is that your car needs to be prepared correctly in advance to ensure this product works to its potential. You'll need to use an abrasive polish or paint clay before applying and ensure your vehicle is absolutely spotless.
How to Apply Bilt Hamber Double Speed-Wax
As mentioned, the key to the high performance of this product is the groundwork you put in beforehand. Make a start by thoroughly washing your vehicle with hot soapy water, ensuring only to use salt-free automotive shampoos.
Once dried (we recommend chamois leather or a close synthetic alternative), this is where you should think about applying your abrasive polish or paint clay in preparation.
Next, make sure your vehicle is in the shade (a garage is ideal), dampen the sponge applicator provided and wring out as much as possible before use. Using the sponge applicator provided, apply in light circular motions exceptionally sparingly (we mean it – a little goes a long way) and allow to dull for approx 5-10 minutes.
Then buff to a high shine using the blue microfibre cloth provided – turning frequently. And that's it!
Note: Occasionally, under certain humid application conditions, the applied film may bloom after initial application and buffing. If you've noticed it on your vehicle, the bloom will disappear once the film is fully cured. Or, if you don't fancy waiting, it can be removed immediately with a wipe down/buff with a slightly damp buffing cloth.
