How to Use Bilt Hamber Auto Foam?
The procedure for Auto Foam is pretty straightforward and follows that of many other snow foam products. As usual, make sure the car has cooled down after driving and try to avoid parking it in direct sunlight, so you have enough time to remove the product before it dries.
The PIR (panel impact ratio) or final dilution ratio (FDR) depends upon how dirty your vehicle is. A 3% PIR ratio is a good rule of thumb for Auto Foam, or you can go for a 4% ratio if there is a lot of dirt and grime on the paintwork.
Once made up to the mentioned ratio, we recommend applying the snow foam with a foam cannon or hand foam sprayer (IK Foam Sprayers are a great choice, and we stock them in the MD Detailing online store).
Leave for 5-10 minutes (although the longer, the better for it to do its stuff). Just be sure not to let it dry. Then, thoroughly rinse before you wash.
It's an excellent idea to apply Bilt Hamber Surfex HD before applying the Auto Foam on top. Surfex HD is designed to fend off the grease-based soiling from any part of the car, even from rims and tires. The use of the degreaser makes the task of Auto foam much easier, and you get better results in the end as a result of using these products in tandem.
